Car is 2001 x-reg Mk3 2.0 Petrol Auto Zetec Mondeo with 69k. Only problem I know of is ticking tumble flaps (removing them next week). I have noticed another issue twice now : 99% of the time the car behaves as it should. Very occasionally (it's happened twice) I seem to lose power. I will be tootling along at, say, 30 and need to accelerate.
Those include low transmission-fluid level, low fluid-pressure caused by a worn pump or accumulators, a damaged torque converter or worn out bands and clutches inside the gearbox. The low fluid level is easy to check and address, but anything else probably points to either a new gearbox of a rebuild of the current one. 2 Causes of Transmission Problems After a Fluid Change. A transmission fluid change should make your vehicle run better, not cause new problems. But in some cases, shifter issues, slipping, and leaks arise after a fluid replacement. Not all post-change problems mean the mechanic made a mistake. I have a 2011 Mondeo Zetec with 96,000km. Last week my car started to jerk, so I went to the service dealer, only to be told that the transmission has gone. A new transmission would cost $15,000 to replace. The car is insured for $10,500. I think this is a job for Fair Trading.

Posts: 136. MC Mondeo dual clutch automatic problems. It looks as if the Ford wet clutch transmission develops a similar problem to the dry clutch, sadly. My car is an October 2012 MC Mondeo Titanium, 2.0L turbo petrol with the dual clutch automatic. I bought it as a demo in July 2013, with 8000 km on the clock and it’s currently showing 67,000.
Until recently I believed the gearbox was the Powershift dual dry clutch 6DCT250, or possibly the wet clutch 6DCT450, but after speaking to an independent dual clutch auto box specialist to arrange a service, they told me their data base recorded my car as having a 'proper' 6F15 automatic which they didn't work on. The mechanic was surprised Posted May 4, 2012. I have just fitted a new condenser to my 53 plate mondeo tdci 5 speed auto. whilst doing so I lost a little transmission fluid when I took the oil cooler pipes off the old one. The Haynes manual and everything else I have read, just tells you the top up is on the top of the gear box. Ihave rmoved the air filter housing and
The dreaded transmission fluid change! Not so bad if you can get the car up level. These are my notes for my own use. Information from 'official' Ford and Volvo sources. The high price of fluid from Ford will keep you guessing whether to buy 6 or 7 litres. I get FUCHS in 20 litres for the same price. Keeps well. Any corrections etc appreciated.

Ford Mondeo 2011: Diesel fumes when sunroof open. Answered by Graham Smith · 10 October 2013. It's unlikely that exhaust fumes are being sucked back that far up the car, so it's more likely to be fumes blowing back from the engine and probably coming in through the air vents in the dash.
The process is as follows. - The gearbox oil temp needs to be between 40 and 70C, so the car needs to be warmed up. - You'll need an extended ForScan licence. - Connect your laptop to the car, open ForScan, go to the Service Procedures tab, and run the TCM - Clutch Adaptive Learning procedure. Asked by Roman Zapp. Listen to article. The gearbox in my 2012 Ford Mondeo has become stuck in first gear. I took it to the Ford dealer who says it must be replaced, at a cost of $11,000. It's only done 11,000 km, but as it is out of warranty it is now my problem. The PowerShift transmissions are known to have problems. When I have managed to get behind the wheel, the overriding impression is just how vast the Ford is. Not only has Mondeo Man grown up, but the car has, too. The drive is more mature than before cBcF3.
