Check for voltage at connector with battery on. Remove sensor and check for resistance between pins. No resistance = bad sensor.
The subframe did not have to be loosened or removed to drop the DPF filter. Instead, Les chose to loosen the passenger front hub at the ball joint and remove the drive axle instead. Once that was done, the DPF was removed.
The DPF can hold a certain amount of soot, but not a huge quantity and therefore it needs to go through a process called ‘regeneration’ in order to clear the soot loading. When the soot goes through a ‘regeneration’ process it will be converted to a much smaller amount of ash. The ash is non-removable.

Turbo failure – oil passes through turbo seals into the exhaust housing and the burnt oily residue enters the DPF, causing excessive dense soot loading. 5. The additive tank (if fitted) is low or empty – this can make any attempted DPF regeneration unsuccessful and can result in premature blocking. 6. Poorly maintained vehicle – along
TDI. 2009 Sportwagen (boughtback); 2014 Passat TDI SEL (boughtback) Feb 4, 2015. #6. Hopefully, this is a one-time occurrence. The emissions system SHOULD compensate for the short trips by going into regeneration more often. It should NOT send the car into limp mode, certainly not with 660 miles on the odo.
2010 JSW w/ DSG HPFP failure at 79K, 137K and clogged DPF. Nov 24, 2015. #1. So my 2010 JSW had a check engine light come on. I took it by O'Reily's to read the code and it was P2031 bank 1 sensor 2. Researched it and I put the sensor in after cat. Cleared the code and everything was fine for a day. Then, CEL came back on along with the
Vw's are fine as they have static lifetime dpf's which have liners in the exhaust, unlike fords peugeots citroens Volvo etc which use additives designed to raise the temperatures of the exhaust gasses, these required regular maintenance and regular expensive dealer top ups If the dpf starts to soot up you'll get a light on the dash.
Increased risk of engine damage: Without the DPF filter, diesel engines can accumulate soot and particulates on engine components, leading to excessive wear and potential engine problems. This can result in higher maintenance costs and expensive repairs. Warranty voidance: DPF deletion will invalidate your vehicle's warranty.

Near the battery tray is the pressure difference sensor located. Some say that in the UK they did not fit DPF to the T30 diesel X-trail.
